Privacy Policy

We built Jacklyt on one principle: your data is yours. Here's exactly what that means in practice.

Last updated: January 2026

🔐

The short version

Your quiz answers never touch our servers. They're AES-encrypted client-side and live entirely inside the URL hash. We can't read them. Nobody can — except whoever you share the link with.

📦

What we collect

Almost nothing. We don't ask for your name, email, or any account details — not for creators, not for players. The only data we may receive is standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, page visited) that any web host collects automatically. We don't store quiz content.

🍪

Cookies & ads

Jacklyt is free forever, supported by display ads. Our ad partners (currently Google AdSense) may place cookies on your device to show relevant ads. You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Ads Settings page. We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.

How quiz data works

When you create a quiz, your answers are encrypted in the browser using AES and embedded into the URL hash (#quiz=…). The hash never leaves your device as part of an HTTP request — browsers don't send URL fragments to servers. Sharing the link is your choice alone.

👶

Children's privacy

Jacklyt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the service in a way that raises concerns, contact us and we'll address it promptly.

🌍

Third-party links

Result cards are designed to be shared on social platforms (WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). We have no control over those platforms' privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing.

✏️

Changes to this policy

If we ever materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the date below. Continuing to use Jacklyt after changes means you accept the updated policy.
